I am a new graduate from Illinois State University with a degree in
Information Technology. I love to teach myself new skills within
the technology sphere. I am always keeping up with new technologies
that I can utilize to improve my skill set.
I have spent most of my free time developing projects for fun
and to expand my knowledge. Some of the projects I am most proud
of are the 2D Platformer I made in collaboration with my friends,
my website (that you are currently on!), and my AirMouse Project.
A full write-up on each project is listed below if you want more
detail. I have independently developed numerous new skills about
software development through my initiative and going beyond what was needed.
Development is not the only hobby that I have tinkered with.
In addition to administering my own home Linux server, I have
experience configuring other services such as a file server,
HomeAssistant, VPN, and more. I have also been working with
Windows Server 2019 to boost my experience with new systems.
I initially had zero experience with Linux, but over the past
two years I have put in the hard work and have gotten the hands-on
experience to vastly improve my skills. I am now very confident in
my ability to adapt to, and navigate, any Linux system.
During the summer of 2022, I completed an Internship at Advocate Aurora
Healthcare, a hospital system with 26 hospitals. As a project manager,
I participated in meeting, planned out future system upgrades, and I
managed the structure of the file storage system. I also provided remote
and in-person technical support for the newly installed hardware/software.
During my time in college, I worked at Costco Wholesale. During this time,
my reviews stated that I excelled in customer service and demonstrated
effective communication with both customers and management. I was
described as a hard worker with good time management skills.
In the future I plan to be an effective software Engineer
-- always learning, adapting to, and mastering emerging technologies.
I am currently looking for a Software Engineer role.
